Virtue Theory new york

Thesis.

The physical world runs on systems most people never think about — the grid, the factory, the freight network, the water supply. The computational world runs on infrastructure most people never see — models, pipelines, compute. We invest where the two meet.

We believe the defining companies of the next decades will be built by technical founders: engineers and scientists who turn research into production, prototypes into plants, and models into operations. Software’s leverage, applied to atoms.

What we back

Four areas — infrastructure, intelligence, industry, and environment. Unglamorous markets with enormous surfaces, where technology compounds over decades rather than quarters.

How we invest

Pre-seed and seed. Checks of $100k to $1m. United States. We are a small partnership; we make few investments and work closely with the founders we back.

What we look for

Founders who build — technical depth is non-negotiable, and the best pitch is a working system. Real problems in large markets. And the intent to build an enduring company rather than a quick exit.
